Final Post

After 30 days of legally purchasing marijuana, this experiment has finally come to an end. I want anyone who reads this to know that this 30 day experiment is just beginning and I hope more experiments like these actually make a difference some day. I would also like to point out that I would not have been able to do this alone because 30 days of purchasing marijuana would probably have broken me. So because I had help, I am going to cut the final total of purchases in half to make this experiment more realistic. There is probably not that many Californians who are going to purchase $721.93 every month so thats why I am cutting it down to $360.97. This is still a pretty high total but also somewhat manageable.

This experiment has taught me a lot about peoples right to choose and what it is going to take to pull this great state of California out of this monstrous deficit. The fact of the matter is that something needs to happen and fast. Marijuana is one clear solution but close minded politicians say it is bad. It is not worse than alcohol I will tell you that. I believe it is the right of each individual to choose how he or she wants to live their life. California would easily generate much needed money for making marijuana completely legal. Take the grand total of $360.97 cents from my experiment, thats just an average purchase of one Californian a month. That is $4,331.64 a year just from one single Californian. That is an astonishing amount of money that California is losing out on. But I can say that there are people out there fighting for this cause. People like San Francisco Assemblyman Tom Ammiano who has been pushing the bill to legalize marijuana for quite some time now.  I believe the implications of this experiment have the potential to make a real difference in our state. Not only would it be a huge victory for marijuana smokers who feel their rights are being violated, but also for the state of California which would make a ton of money. It will also come with strict laws of course, those similar to alcohol. Laws like no smoking or purchasing marijuana under the age of 21 and no driving under the influence. It is a win-win situation all round but still some people fail to see solutions right in front their faces. Hopefully someday very soon more people like Tom Ammiano will help make a difference in this state. I could not imagine the deficit getting any worse and the people in charge better start opening up to new, better ideas or we all headed straight to the bottom. So now I encourage more people out there, not just Californians, but everyone to help do whatever it take to show that marijuana is not a problem, but it is most certainly a solution. I hope this 30 day experiment proves to everyone that there is a lot of money to be made here.  Legalize marijuana and save California!
